#SDCC – First Look At “Kong: Skull Island”

Amidst all the DC and Marvel superhero movie news, several films that made good first impressions at the San Diego Comic Con have kind of been lost in the shuffle. I’m here to perform a public service and put one of those movies back on your radar.

Kong-Skull-Island-poster-fullBecause “Kong: Skull Island” looks absolutely bonkers, in a magnificent way.

Look at that movie poster right above. If that doesn’t make you want to go camp out at the local multiplex, then turn in your nerd card. The trailer that debuted in Hall H hints at a 1970s war movie, set on an island of monsters. At the center of it is the biggest, most menacing version of Kong ever committed to film.

Oh, and it stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson (man, is she ever having a good year), Samuel L. Jackson in the Captain Ahab role, John Goodman and John C. Reilly. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!

“Kong: Skull Island” premieres March 10, 2017.
